Stony Hill Rural Fire Department has implemented a Service Awards program to recognize members who perform above and beyond expectations.  These awards are both individual and team oriented and can be earned for actions undertaken in emergency response or in the course of regular, on-emergency, duty.

In order to be considered for any of these awards, members must be nominated.  Members may be nominated by their fellow firefighters or by members of the public. 

To that end, you may find a copy of the Award Nomination Form here.   This form includes a list of the awards along with a brief description of the types of action(s) that would qualify someone for that award.

Please keep in mind the seriousness of this awards program when making nominations and be as detailed as possible.  Each nomination will be reviewed by a committee of 5 department members.  This committee is charged with investigating each incident or action outlined in the nomination and determining if the actions of the individual or team are worthy of this special recognition.  Therefore, your attention to detail will make that process easier.

Please return all nominations, in a sealed envelope, to Stony Hill Rural Fire Department, Station 1, Attention Awards Review Committee, or e-mail the electronic document to thomas.young@stonyhillfire.org
